The January 15, 2015 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Bill Towers at 6:45pm with Invocation led by member Joseph Davidow then the Pledge of Allegiance. Following dinner President Bill Towers introduced our speaker Aimee Schlehr, Executive Director and CEO of the Naples Art Association. Founded by artists in 1954, the Naples Art Association, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, operates The von Liebig Art Center. Its mission is to promote and advance education, interest and participation in the visual arts.... Imagine .... Discover ...Create! She discussed their many fine projects as well as upcoming events. January 8, 2015 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The January 8, 2015 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order at 6:50am by President Bill Towers. After dinner various Rotary local, district and national items were discussed. Meeting was adjourned at 8:20pm. The next meeting with speaker will be Thursday January 15, 2015 starting at 6:30pm at Pompano Surf and Turf at the Ramada Inn in downtown Naples, Florida.

December 11, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The December 11, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary meeting was called to order by President Bill Towers at 6:40pm. Following dinner our speaker Aly Kerwin, Easter Seals Director of Development was introduced. Easter Seals is the oldest and largest voluntary health organization in the United States. Easter Seals has been helpinmg individuals with disabilities and special needs, and their families, live better lives for over a century. From child development centers to physical rehabilitation and job training for people with disabilities. Easter Seals offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities adress life's challenges and achieve personal goals. At Easter Seals, they champion abilities. Easter Seals in Southwest Florida includes: a) Lily Academies, b) Adult Day Training Program, and c) Spanbauer Residence. Aly discussed these Southwest Florida Easter Seal projects in detail and also mentioned that they were looking for additional Board Members. December 4, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The December 4, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by Past President and Past Assistant District Governor Marcus P Zillman followed by Invocation by Joseph Davidow and then followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Our speaker Rebecca Y. Zung was then introduced by acting President Zillman. Rebecca Y. Zung is the founding partner of the Law Office of Zung-Clough, PLLC, a pre-eminent marital and family law firm in Southwest Florida. She has practiced in the area of family law for many years and strongly believes in divorce with dignity. Her commitment to her clients and to her readers is that even in the most challenging of circumstances, they feel empowered, whole and inspired to create new beginnings and new futures. She is a cum laude graduate of University of Miami School of Law. A former wealth strategist and stockbroker, Rebecca has held her Series 7 and 66 registered representative licenses, as well as the Life, Health, and Variable Annuity Insurance Licenses. Because of her diverse backgrounds, she brings extraordinary insight into every facet of family law. A frequent lecturer and author of several articles, Rebecca also continues to produce her well-known seminars designed to inspire and empower women, the "Empowered Women Series." November 20, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The November 20, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary was called to order by President Bill Towers at 6:35pm followed by Invocation by Joe Davisow and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Following dinner President Towers introduced our speaker Gene Nara, Head of School, Royal Palm Academy. Mr. Nara has been a resident of Naples since 1977 when he moved with his wife and 8 children from Ohio. He was an administrator, coach, and teacher with Collier County Public Schools from 1977 until retiring in 2004. He has over 52 years of experience beginning his career in Ohio in 1962. Gene’s wife, Maggie, suffered a stroke and he was her caregiver for 7 years until she passed away in 2013. Shortly after, he decided to get back into his beloved field of education and accepted the Head of School position at RPA. He is a graduate of Findley College in Ohio and received his Master’s Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University. Mr. Nara discussed the latest events and happenings at the Royal Palm Academy and our members enjoyed his presentation very much. November 13, 2014 Naples Sunset rotary Meeting

The November 13, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Bill Towers followed by Invocation by Joseph Davidow and them followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. After dinner a discussion on our November 5th successful annual Mercato WineWalk 2014 and a drawing to determine the winner of the raffle presented in the passports. After the drawing the meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.

October 30, 2014 Naples Sunset rotary Meeting

The October 30, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Towers proceeded by Invocation by Joe Davidow and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was held at the newly remodeled Pompano Surf and Turf and all members enjoyed getting back to our normal routine. Our member Douglas Haughey presented the program discussing his current venture Olde Naples Living Newsletter which will begin publication in February 2015. After his excellent presentation we discussed the upcoming Mercato Wine Walk 2014 on November 5th and all members were urged to continue the promotion for our fundraiser. It should be noted that there will be no meeting on November 6, 2014 due to our 2nd Annual Mercato WineWalk 2014 on November 5th.

October 23, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The October 23rd Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Towers at 6:40pm. After dinner Dictionary Day was discussed with Brady Young, Bill Towers and Joseph Davidow to distribute dictionaries at Laurel Oak Elementary School and Past Assistant Governor Marcus Zillman to distribute to Parkside Elementary School. Also was discussed the current status of our Mercato Winewalk 2014 on November 5, 2014. Also we will be meeting starting October 30, 2014 at the newly remodeled Pompano Surf and Turf at the Ramada Inn where we have previously had our meeting until the remodel started two months ago. Meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.

October 16, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The October 16, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was held at Cosmos and began at 6:35pm. Following dinner there was a brief discussion concerning upcoming Dictionary Day and the November 5th Mercato Winewalk fundraiser project. Meeting was adjourned at 8pm.

October 9, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Club Meeting

The October 9, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Club Meeting was called to order at 6:35pm by President Bill Towers. Following dinner a discussion on the upcoming Dictionary Day happening on October 24th where we will be distributing dictionaries to third graders in two elementary schools in Collier County. We also had updates on our 2nd Annual Mercato Wind Walk happening on November 5th where we have now 14 resturants participating in our fundraiser. Tickets are available online for $40.00 per person and if available at the event for $50.00 per person. Meeting adjourned at 8:0pm.

October 2, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The October 2, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting took place at Cosmos. After dinner we discussed the upcoming 2nd Annual Mercato Wine Walk fundraiser taking place on November 5, 2014 with tickets available online at our website. Also was discussed the October 24, 2014 Dictionary Day and we will be giving our free dictionaries to all the third grade classes in Collier County. We will be meeting at Cosmos until mid October when we will return to the just remodeled Pompano Surf and Turf at the Ramada Inn in downtown Naples on October 23, 2014. Meeting was adjourned at 8:01pm.

September 25, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The September 25, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting took place at Cosmos and was opened by Past President and Current Treasurer Gary Moore. After dinner we discussed the upcoming 2nd Annual Mercato Wine Walk fundraiser taking place on November 5, 2014 with tickets available online at our website. Guest were announced and banners were given by visitng Rotarian from Mountain Home, Arkansas (District 6110) Bruce Loveless and his wife Marilyn. We will be meeting at Cosmos until mid October when we will return to the just remodeled Pompano Surf and Turf at the Ramada Inn in downtown Naples. Meeting was adjourned at 8:01pm.
