October 29, 2009 Napes Sunset Rotary Meeting



The October 29, 2009 Naples Sunset Rotary meeting featured the induction of our newest member Robert Short, President of Naples Moving and Storage. The above pictures include Robert with his new Rotary pin and Robert with his wife Henriette. Robert has been involved in Naples since the mid eighties and brings a plethorea of knowledge in moving and storage his club classification and is a true sports fan.


Dr. Jan Malat member of our club gave this excellent program featuring many areas in the field of health and discussing the H1N1 flu as well as the new methods and technology available in various radiology programs. The very interesting program ended with many questions being asked by all club members. The club was adjourned at 8:40pm.

October 22, 2009 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting


Our October 22, 2009 meeting featured Andy Reed, Director of Development of the Humane Society Naples. He discussed the background of the Human Society Naples and all the current happenings. Naples Sunset Rotary Dictionary Day


Friday, October 16, 2009 was our annual Rotary Dictionary Day and all third graders in Collier County received free dictionaries. The Naples Sunset Rotary Club personally handed out over 350 dictionaries at Laurel Oak Elementary School and Parkside Elementary School. Naples Sunset Rotary members who participated were as follows: Adoni Kokkinos, John Martin and Brady Young at Laurel Oak Elementary School; and Robert Short, Carl Thome and Marcus Zillman at Parkside Elementary School.

October 15, 2009 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting


Our October 15, 2009 meeting program featured Michele Guptill, Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Florida. Their mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact. They currently serve close to 500 children throughout Lee & Collier Counties through their Community and School based mentoring programs! October 8, 2009 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting


Our October 8, 2009 meeting featured speaker was Laura Hauze, local young entrepreneur and owner of TikiGator Farm. She passionately spoke of her work with horses and her training of students in the equine field. October 1, 2009 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting


The October 1, 2009 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was opened by President Zillman and the program featured the Chairman of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Program Advisory Council Emily Watt and the Program Coordinator for CHSRMCM Gary Gutierrez. It was a very interesting program with computer generated slides showing the mobile unit in action serving Collier County.
