Naples Sunset Rotary Christmas Party

The Naples Sunset Rotary Christmas Party was held on December 16, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:30pm at Lakewood Country Club. We partnered with the Naples Bay Rotary Club and we all had an extremely enjoyable evening. Entertainment was provided by the leading local musician and singer Nevada Smith. We also had teenage carolers from the Seacrest Country Day School in Naples. We also had additional Christmas songs delivered via guitar which made for an enjoyable evening and event. Naples Sunset Rotary members also delivered a significant amount of gifts for the children at the Shelter for Abused Woman as we have done for many many years.

With the upcoming holidays of Christmas and New Years, Naples Sunset Rotary Club will not be meeting with our next meeting to be January 5, 2012. We wish everyone a very very Merry Christmas and a very Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year 2012 !!

December 8, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The December 8, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order at 6:30pm by President Carl Thome and followed by Invocation and Pledge Allegiance. Following dinner our program was introduced by club member Adoni Kokkinos who introduced Jordan Buckley of the Interfaith Action of SW Florida who in turn introduced Lucas Benitez with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. Lucas explained the history and latest happenings with the Coalition and his involvement since the beginning. This excellent program concluded with numerous questions and answers from members of the club. The meting adjourned at 8pm. The next meeting of Naples Sunset Rotary Club will be January 5, 2011 at Bistro 821 in downtown Naples, Florida.

December 1, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The December 1, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Carl Thome followed by Invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. Following dinner at Bistro 821 the club was updated by President Carl of all the upcoming activities including the December 16th Christmas Party with the Naples Bay Rotary at the Lakewood Country Club and there will be no meetings on December 22nd and 29th due to the holidays. The meeting was adjourned at 8pm.
