October 25, 2012 Naples Sunset Rotary Club
October 25, 2012 Naples Sunset Rotary Club was called to order by President Brady Young at 6:30pm followed by Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. Following dinner we inducted our newest member to the club Charles Zachary Van Meter who was sponsored by Past President Marcus Zillman. Following the induction, President Brady presented our latest fundraiser with bidding to have all members heads shaved through club members bidding. This event proved to be very exciting and raised dollars to help our upcoming November 3, 2012 fishing tournament boat entry donation. Following this our program was introduced by President Elect Adoni Kokkinos featuring John Slaby, Director of Operation of Kowiachobee Animal Preserve in Naples. John stated that the Kowiachobee Animal preserve houses over 75 animals, including a tiger, leopards, jaguar, puma, bobcat, caracal, tortoise, iguana, wallaby, skunks, birds, farm animals, domestic animals and much more. Kowiachobee is dedicated to respecting all animals. Their focus includes endangered, exotic, both domestic and farm animals and even reptiles. Additional information on the preserve is available by clicking here. After questions and answers the meeting was adjourned at 8:40pm.
