October 30, 2014 Naples Sunset rotary Meeting

The October 30, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Towers proceeded by Invocation by Joe Davidow and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was held at the newly remodeled Pompano Surf and Turf and all members enjoyed getting back to our normal routine. Our member Douglas Haughey presented the program discussing his current venture Olde Naples Living Newsletter which will begin publication in February 2015. After his excellent presentation we discussed the upcoming Mercato Wine Walk 2014 on November 5th and all members were urged to continue the promotion for our fundraiser. It should be noted that there will be no meeting on November 6, 2014 due to our 2nd Annual Mercato WineWalk 2014 on November 5th.

October 23, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The October 23rd Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Towers at 6:40pm. After dinner Dictionary Day was discussed with Brady Young, Bill Towers and Joseph Davidow to distribute dictionaries at Laurel Oak Elementary School and Past Assistant Governor Marcus Zillman to distribute to Parkside Elementary School. Also was discussed the current status of our Mercato Winewalk 2014 on November 5, 2014. Also we will be meeting starting October 30, 2014 at the newly remodeled Pompano Surf and Turf at the Ramada Inn where we have previously had our meeting until the remodel started two months ago. Meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.

October 16, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The October 16, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was held at Cosmos and began at 6:35pm. Following dinner there was a brief discussion concerning upcoming Dictionary Day and the November 5th Mercato Winewalk fundraiser project. Meeting was adjourned at 8pm.

October 9, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Club Meeting

The October 9, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Club Meeting was called to order at 6:35pm by President Bill Towers. Following dinner a discussion on the upcoming Dictionary Day happening on October 24th where we will be distributing dictionaries to third graders in two elementary schools in Collier County. We also had updates on our 2nd Annual Mercato Wind Walk happening on November 5th where we have now 14 resturants participating in our fundraiser. Tickets are available online for $40.00 per person and if available at the event for $50.00 per person. Meeting adjourned at 8:0pm.

October 2, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The October 2, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting took place at Cosmos. After dinner we discussed the upcoming 2nd Annual Mercato Wine Walk fundraiser taking place on November 5, 2014 with tickets available online at our website. Also was discussed the October 24, 2014 Dictionary Day and we will be giving our free dictionaries to all the third grade classes in Collier County. We will be meeting at Cosmos until mid October when we will return to the just remodeled Pompano Surf and Turf at the Ramada Inn in downtown Naples on October 23, 2014. Meeting was adjourned at 8:01pm.

September 25, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The September 25, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting took place at Cosmos and was opened by Past President and Current Treasurer Gary Moore. After dinner we discussed the upcoming 2nd Annual Mercato Wine Walk fundraiser taking place on November 5, 2014 with tickets available online at our website. Guest were announced and banners were given by visitng Rotarian from Mountain Home, Arkansas (District 6110) Bruce Loveless and his wife Marilyn. We will be meeting at Cosmos until mid October when we will return to the just remodeled Pompano Surf and Turf at the Ramada Inn in downtown Naples. Meeting was adjourned at 8:01pm.

The September 18, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting took place at Cosmos and was opened by President Steve Cere. After dinner a discussion on the Trolley Event as well as our upcoming 2nd Annual Mercato Wine Walk fundraiser. We will be meeting at Cosmos until mid October when we will return to the just remodeled Pompano Surf and Turf at the Ramada Inn in downtown Naples. Meeting was adjourned at 8:00PM.

After dinner a discussion on the Trolley Event as well as our upcoming 2nd Annual Mercato Wine Walk fundraiser. September 4, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Club Meeting

The September 4, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Club meeting was called to order at 6:35pm at Cosmos while our normal meeting site is being remodeled. After sharing pizzas a discussion on our August 29th Trolley Event positive results took place following updates on our upcoming November 5th Annual Mercato Wine Walk. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.

August 28, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The August 28, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary meeting was called to order at 6:30pm by President Steve Cere. This meeting combined a volunteer meeting for our August 29th Trolley Event with last minute assignment for each Trolley Captain and Assistant. After the volunteer meeting our regular Thursday meeting began with adjournment at 8:00pm.

August 21, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Club Meeting

August 21, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Club meeting was called to order at 6:38pm followed by Invocation by Joseph Davidow following the Pledge of Allegiance. After dinner a discussion of upcoming activities including our August 29th Trolley Event. Visiting Rotarian Jimmy Weatherspoon from Delray Beach, Florida was introduced with is wife Marian who was celebrating her birthday. Cub was adjourned at 8:00pm.

August 14, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The August 14, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary meeting was called to order by President Steve Cere at 6:35pm followed by Invocation by Member Joe Davidow followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Following dinner visiting Rotarians and guests were acknowledged. Our speaker for the evening was James (Jay) J. MacDonald, Executive Director of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul Naples District Council. Jay discussed the background and latest happenings within his non-for-profit organization. Currently his organization delivers over 100,000 meals in Naples annually through their Meals On Wheels program. Their entire annual budget is approximately 1.3 million dollars. The meeting adjourned at 8:00pm with a following discussion of the upcoming fund raiser on August 29th with availability of Trolleys 1, 3, and 4. Members were urged to continue to pass the word to all about the project!

August 7, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The August 7, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Steve Cere following Invocation by Joe Davidow and Pledge of Allegiance. Following dinnner discussion was developed on multiple Rotary local and district areas of interest. Also discussed the upcoming fund raiser August 29th and the current marketing activity for same. The next meeting August 14, 2014 will feature an excellent local speaker Jay MacDonald of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society of Naples a prominent local non-for-profit organization. Also plan to bring a guest to this meeting!! Meeting was adjourned at 8:01pm.

There will be a Naples Sunset Rotary Board Meeting Wednesday August 6, 2014; 5:30pm at Joe Davidow's office with all Naples Sunset Rotary members invited to attend. The July 24, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Steve Cere at 6:30pm with Invocation by Joe Davidow followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The July 17, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Club meeting was called to order at 6:35pm followed by Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. Following dinner the District Governor Pete Doragh with his wife Cyndi District Governor Elect presented to Naples Sunset Rotary the mission and goals for District 6960. Following the presentation numerous questions and answers from club members. The meeting adjourned at 8:00pm.
