February 27, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The February 27, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary meeting was called to order by President Elect Steve Cere with Invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. Guests were introduced and following dinner our speaker for the evening was introduced by President Elect Steve Cere. Ted Soliday Executive Director of Naples Airport discussed the latest happenings at our local Naples Airport and what he predicts the future will hold. Numerous questions were raised by interested club members after his excellent presentation. The club adjourned at 8:03 pm.

February 20, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Adoni at 6:40pm with Invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. Following dinner Rotarian guests were introduced and the club assembly followed. President Adoni handed out a fact sheet and financials on the past history of club fund raising activities including the projected budget for the 2014-2015 annual Rotarian year. After discussion on our positive current conditions additional information was discussed on the upcoming March 1st due and meals collections policies and procedures. The club adjourned at 8:20pm.

February 13, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The February 13, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order at 6:30pm by President Adoni followed by Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. Visitng Rotarians included Rotary District 7255 (New York Area) Gov. Gwenn Ramage and her husband. We performed a banner exchange and she discussed the membership challenges they had faced and how they are turning that around with her goals. Our program was Dr. Leo Cullinan, DDS the co-founder of Collier Dental Outreach and was the subject of his program. He is also the Co-Chair of the Florida Mission of Mercy. The Dental Outreach is a very interesting program in that it not only serves the needy, but is also very educational. He setup a cooperative effort with dental hygenic and assistive schools, such as the one at the Lorenzo Walker Institute and St. Mathews House. The students work with Dentists who volunteer their time and utilize the facilities at the school with amazing results. People do not realize how important to appearance teeth are, or more specifically how detrimental to appearance bad teeth can be. These are some of the incredibly challenging cases where teeth have eroded and are missing due to drug use, trauma etc, and the students get the experience of not only working in a real world situation (something that previously they had only really been able to use dummys), but in some of the most extreme cases they may ever see. The patients come out looking incredible, and while its sad to say that our society makes judgements on appearance, it is a reality, and a person with distractingly destroyed teeth is harder to employ. These men and women graduate from St. Mathews house with a new outlook on life. I was amazed at the economic synergies this program creates with the community. It really is a win/win/win. February 6, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The February 6, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order By President Adoni with invocation and pledge of allegiance. Following dinner visiting rotarian were introduced as well as Sgt. of Arms Zillman lightened the wallets of a number of Rotary members. Our speaker for the meeting was attorney Jade Wu of Naples, Florida who discussed her assignments in Afghanistan and Iraq in 2012. Ms Wu is also an author and Rule of Law Advisor. After a very interesting presentation and a number of questions the club was adjourned at 8:10pm.

January 30, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The January 30, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Adoni at 6:30pm following invocation by Past President Marcus Zillman and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. After dinner President Adoni introduced our speaker Dianne Reed, Public Relations and Marketing Director of Collier Child Care Resources, Inc. (CCCR) who discussed the many upcoming activities of CCCR and there deep appreication for our club's involvement in the past, present and future. She also handed out their upcoming activities flyer to all our members. Following questions from the club members our meeting was adjourned at 8:01pm. January 23, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The January 23, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary meeting was called to order by President Adoni at 6:30pm with the invocation and pledge of allegiance. Following dinner a discussion on various Rotary local and district issues with a general discussion on various Rotary happenings. Following these discussions the meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.

January 16, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The January 16, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary was called to order by Past President Marcus Zillman following Invocation and Pledge of Allediance. Following dinner visiting Rotarians were introduced as well as visiting Rotarian Snow Birds Wayne Bost and Thorp Freeman. We received a banner (see picture) from Sverker Sundmark and Mia Sundmark visiting Rotarians from Sweden. Our program was presented by member Joe Davidow on his visit to one of our charity receipents and the knowledge he obtained .... Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.

The January 9, 2014 Naples Sunset Rotary meeting was called to order by President Adoni at 6:30pm with the invocation and pledge of allegiance. Following dinner a discussion on various Rotary local and district issues as well as some new and very interesting privacy remarks on the "Honey Pots" with the discussion led by Adoni. Following these discussions the meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.

Following dinner a discussion on various issues as well as some interesting privacy remarks on the happenings of overall communications protocols in the United States. The December 19, 2013 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Adoni followed by Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting followed dinner with discussions on the latest happenings in District 6960 and holiday activities. Due to the upcoming Christmas and New Years holiday period our next meeting will be January 2, 2014. November 21, 2013 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The November 21, 2013 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Adoni with Invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. Following dinner we discussed upcoming local and district events and all members were urged to participate. Our speaker, Jessica Wasko, Director of Providence House, was introduced by President Adoni. Providence House ‘opens the door to independence’ for vulnerable women with young children in the Collier County area who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. They offer deserving moms the opportunity to make important long-term changes to realize their goals for economic independence through their two-year self-sufficiency program. They are a faith-based, non-profit organization, supported through the generosity of various community groups and individuals. They do not receive government funding. Their clients are the situational homeless in transition and parenting young children. They are ready to work for the changes they desire. They bring like-minded moms together in a community characterized by faith, hard work, accountability, and support. Jessica's presentation was excellent with a number of questions from our members. Our project the first Mercato Wine Walk November 6, 2013 was then discussed and it was a complete sell out and all club members were very much appreciated in making the event a true success and the next one already in the planning stages!! Meeting was adjourned at 8pm.
