July 28, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting for July 28, 2011 was called to order at 6:00pm by President Carl Thome. This was a mini club assembly to discuss the latest happenings both district wide and club wide. After various discussions on upcoming projects and events the club was adjourned at 7:45pm.

Important Note: The upcoming August and September Naples Sunset Rotary meetings will be held at Bistro 821 whose address is 821 5th Avenue, Naples, FL; starting at 6:30pm.

July 21, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting and Governor's Visit

The Naples Sunset Rotary Club meeting was called to order at 6:45pm by President Carl Thome with the Invocation and Pledge Allegiance. After dinner President Carl gave the latest happenings for our club and then introduced the new Governor of our Rotary District 6960 for her presentation to our club. Governor Hearns discussed a number of District 6960 upcoming projects as well as the District Convention Cruise to be held in April 2012. Questions and answers followed Governor Hearns excellent presentation. The club adjourned at 8:00pm. [Pictured are Governor Denise Hearns and President Carl Thome]

July 14, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The July 14, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting was called to order by President Carl Thome at 6:30pm. President Thome gave the Invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. After dinner President Carl discussed the latest happenings with the club and restated the Governor's visit at our next week's meeting and asked all members for an excellent turnout. The club adjourned at 8:00pm. Because of District 6960 Governor's visit to our club next week (July 21st) the meeting will be held on 821 5th Avenue in downtown Naples at Bistro 821 in their second level private meeting room.

July 7, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Meeting

The July 7, 2011 Naples Sunset Rotary Club meeting was called to order at 6:30pm at our summer meeting location of Total Wine & More in Naples, Florida. President Carl Thome gave the Invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Followed we discussed the latest happenings, our June fundraiser and upcoming meetings and locations. Next week (July 14th) will be held on 821 5th Avenue in downtown Naples at Bistro 821 in their second level private meeting room. Meetings will be held at this location on July 21st, August 4th and September 8th. All other summer meetings until October will be at Total Wine & More at Carillon Place, 5048 Airport Pulling Road in Naples, Florida. When in doubt check with our blog!! Our meeting also had a presentation by Brittany Meyer, T.W.P. on four wines from Total Wine with samples and explanations of the wine and its history. Meeting adjourned at 8pm.
